Good bike. Good store. Good experience.

Review for Rover eBike model X/Y

First the bike. It looks great and I love that it's from a small business in Vancouver. Most people can't even tell it's an E-Bike. It's not comfortable, though, mainly because of the hard seat. The narrow tires and lack of suspension don't help, either. You feel every tiny bump with this thing. It also came with some misalignments that made some minor funny noises as I rode, which I'm sure can be fixed easily but it obviously indicates that the rental bike you get could arrive slightly out of tune. I found the LCD display difficult to read with sunglasses on, but it was fine with regular glasses. Overall, I really liked the riding experience. Unlike most E-Bikes, this thing weighs under 50 lb so it can be pedaled most of the time with no assist. It's also fast. I hit 30 km/h many times and the bike was always totally stable and in control. I enjoyed the experience so much I might just buy the bike despite the hard seat. Aftermarket suspension seats don't cost that much.

Second, the store. I really don't have anything bad to say here. Be aware that pickup/dropoff of the E-Bike at your home costs $80 so I just rode it from the store. This isn't a complaint. $80 is fair enough. It's just something to be aware of. If you're looking to buy an E-Bike, be aware this store doesn't have a big selection. It's more of a fitness store than an E-Bike store. The staff is great, though. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, responsive to emails which just makes the whole rental experience so much better. Paige especially took some time with me to make sure my rental went well, and it did. I have no hesitation recommending this place.

Good bike. Good store. Good experience. I'll do this again.
